Sometimes, for various reasons, students may find themselves unable to turn in the final versions of their theses/dissertations and all necessary materials to UDTS by the Final Submission deadline in the current semester. In that case, some of those students may qualify for Special Registration, an option offered by the Registrar’s office.
Students who qualify for Special Registration in a given semester, and who are then approved for Special Registration status by their departments, must turn in the final versions of their theses/dissertations and all necessary materials to UDTS on or by 5:00 p.m. on the date listed under “Deadline” in the table below in order to remain eligible to graduate under Special Registration in that semester.
Students who fail to submit the final versions of their theses/dissertations and all necessary materials to UDTS on or by 5:00 p.m. on the date listed under “Deadline” in the Table below will lose their Special Registration status for that semester. They will then need to register for the full upcoming semester and go through the standard necessary procedure for that semester.

1. UDTS deadlines are firm and unchangeable.
2. Failure to submit on time will result in graduation being delayed until the next submission deadline. Please read UDTS policy for further information.
3. While Special Registration is an excellent alternative, UDTS recommends that students make every attempt to graduate during the regular Spring, Summer, or Fall Semesters. Please contact us for if you have further questions.
